Our Story
If there’s one thing you should know about me, it’s that I don’t do anything halfway. Whether it’s running a business, hosting a party, or hitting the pickleball court, I’m all in. But being all in all the time has its challenges (as anyone who’s ever been called a workaholic can tell you).
That’s why I recently I took a step back and decided to focus on something new:
BALANCE
I packed my bags and headed to the Omega Institute, ready for a weekend of meditation, reflection, and (hopefully) figuring out what balance actually means. I’m still not sure I have the answer, but I chose “balance” as my word for the year anyway.
Maybe because it sounded nice in the moment, or maybe because, deep down, I knew it was what I needed most. Either way, let’s just say the universe has been throwing me plenty of opportunities to figure it out since then.
The truth is, like many driven people, I didn’t always know how to slow down.
Between growing my business, raising my kids, and trying to find time for myself, “balance” always felt more like a buzzword than a way of life. But the more I learned, the more I realized that balance isn’t about perfection—it’s about finding the right flow.
That’s what led me here to create Wellness Works, where I help wellness practitioners and entrepreneurs like you discover how to scale your businesses without burning out.
Wellness Works was born out of a personal journey—one that blends wellness, entrepreneurship, and finding balance in life. When I met my now-husband, Ryan, a self-proclaimed biohacker and HR expert, his passion for optimizing health and performance had a profound impact on me. Through his mentorship, I was introduced to biohacking practices like red light therapy, oxygen chambers, and daily ice baths—techniques that helped him stay sharp while scaling large businesses and helping millions of job seekers.
At the time, I was navigating my own healing journey after a divorce, struggling with health issues, and finding it difficult to balance my ambition with self-care. Implementing some of these biohacking practices—such as completing a 100-day ice bath challenge—transformed my energy and mental clarity. It not only rejuvenated my health, but it also gave me new insights into how to thrive as an entrepreneur.
After a few years of attending HR tradeshows and writing content about workplace culture, I began to see a deeper connection between wellness and business success. I took on a consulting role for a local wellness company and that further opened my eyes to the needs of wellness practitioners; people passionate about helping others, but lacking the business systems to scale their practices effectively. It was clear to me that there was a gap in the market.
This realization led to the creation of Wellness Works; a business that bridges wellness and work, helping both practitioners and organizations achieve balance and success.
Through my expertise in AI, content creation, and wellness, I’m dedicated to helping others grow their businesses while maintaining their well-being. And from this mission, the Wellness Works podcast was also born, providing a platform for wellness practitioners to share their expertise and explore how these modalities can improve workplace culture, teams, and overall health.
